Dear All,
This is a cordial invite to join us next week for a session exploring Gait Analysis with Prof. Jennifer McGinley. This will be a similar session to last year’s presentation. There will be multiple gait videos as part of the presentation, so please ensure appropriate bandwidth/”good” internet connection is available to view the videos.
Prof. Jenny McGinley is a physiotherapist and Professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. Her research has focussed on the measurement and understanding of movement and function across the lifespan in healthy people and those with neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorder. She has a particular interest in gait and mobility outcome measures for clinical practice and research, translation of biomechanical evidence to inform practice and in clinical trials of interventions to improve functional mobility. Her current research is now extending to focus on understanding how people with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological disorders can stay active during daily life, and the factors that influence regular physical activity.
