On behalf of Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (RMSANZ) and our Organising Committee, we are delighted to invite you to our Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand 9th Annual Scientific Meeting which is being held in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia from the 19 – 22 July 2026.
The theme for the conference is Bridging Rehabilitation Gaps. There are many rehabilitation gaps in domains such as culture, ageing, technology and research. Artificial intelligence is a rapidly evolving field with the potential to leave many of us behind. This conference will explore how we can best harness our resources to optimise outcomes for our patients.
Serendipity has shone kindly upon us and we will have 3 renowned international speakers from Asia who will provide us with exciting presentations and workshops at the cutting edge of Rehabilitation.
Professor Zaliha Omar is fondly known as the “Mother of Rehabilitation” in Malaysia and has crossed many cultural domains as well as having special expertise in ageing. She was the sole Rehabilitation Physician in Malaysia and with vision and dedication developed a sustainable infrastructure that has since flourished.
Professor Nam-Jong Paik comes from South Korea and is an expert in the rapidly evolving field of technology such as virtual reality and transcranial direct current stimulation and how this interfaces with Rehabilitation.
