Dear All,
RMTV send a cordial invite to join us for next week’s training session, Practical Assessment of SCI (using ASIA worksheet) with Mark McDonald (Senior Spinal Physiotherapist, Austin Health). We are grateful to have the support of five-time Paralympian in Wheelchair Rugby, Naz Erdem (Peer Support Worker for Spinal Services @Austin Health) volunteering as the role player for the session.
This session will involve a practical demonstration of assessing for SCI using a volunteer to provide clinical examination tips & techniques. The session will be delivered using a hybrid method (F2F – in-person & virtual via MS Teams) – F2F attendance is RECOMMENDED if possible. The details for the session are as follows:
Topic: Practical Assessment of SCI (using ASIA worksheet)
Date: Wednesday 19th February, 3-4pm
Presenters: Mark McDonald (Senior Spinal Physiotherapist)
Venue: Hybrid Presentation (F2F & Virtual)
F2F: Spinal OT Computer Room
Level 1, Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre (RTRC), Kew
(K/L, 7 – on map attached)
Virtual: Microsoft Teams
Meeting ID: 481 718 193 231
Passcode: iUAKRF
Due to the nature of this session, video-conferencing will be challenging but I remain hopeful remote attendees will benefit. Where possible, I recommend in-person attendance to gain the most from this session.
Catering will be provided. If you could let me know if planning to attend in-person by COB Monday 17th February that would be much appreciated to assist with catering requirements.
For those attending in person, parking at RTRC is $3 flat rate on campus or free along the Yarra Blvd at your own risk. Catering will be provided.
If you would like to be escorted to the presentation room on-site, please arrive by 2.55pm & wait at the cafe on arrival (near Entry 3). You will be escorted to Spinal OT Computer Room by a member of RMTV.
Regards,
RMTV
