Wednesday 11th March: RMTV Exam Preparation Session – 3-5pm by Dr Rehana DiRico, Dr Imogen Windle & Dr Cheryl Saw/RMTV Information Evening – 5.50-7pm @Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre

News

Dear All,

Next week, RMTV is proud to present a Trainee-Focused Exam Preparation session, which involves current trainees and new AFRM fellow providing some advice, tips & techniques on preparing for written & clinical AFRM exams, Module 1, Module 2, Fellowship Written Exam (MCQ + MEQ) & Fellowship Clinical Exam. In addition, there will be a brief coverage of Modules 4-6. This would be a session that would be highly valuable to attend for anyone intending on completing any of these modules this year (or in the future). You will have prime access to ask any questions that may assist you in your preparation for the specific modules/exams or learn of key resources and strategies used by previous successful candidates. This session will be accessible via Zoom video-conferencing but recommended to attend in person (if able). This is the 2nd year we have hosted this session and we thank Rehana, Imogen & Cheryl for their time to share their experience and invaluable knowledge with you all.

Following on from this session, RMTV will be hosting the RMTV Information Evening The attendees have nominated their preferences and advised who they will be discussing potential employment in 2021. This session will commence at 5.50pm with conclusion @7.00pm, with catering being served from 5.00pm. This for most of you will be an opportunity to access and meet with representatives of the training sites to ask questions pertaining to the rotation etc.. It is imperative that you attend to find out what each site has to offer and make yourself known to representatives – this will undoubtedly assist you at interview time.

At this stage, I have confirmed/tentative attendance of representatives from the following Victorian Rehabilitation Medicine training sites:

  • Alfred Health (Caulfield)
  • Austin Health (Royal Talbot)
  • Barwon Health (Geelong)
  • Eastern Health (Peter James Centre/Angliss Hospital)
  • Epworth HealthCare (Melbourne)
  • Epworth HealthCare (Geelong)

  • Monash Health (Kingston/Casey & Dandenong)
  • Northern Health (Broadmeadows)
  • Peninsula Health
  • St Vincent’s Health (inc. St. George’s)

As with most events, RMTV cannot prepare for unexplained circumstances and late cancellations but I will do my best to keep you informed and plan for a well organised evening for all attendees.

Kind regards,

RMTV
